Surf Spot
Noosa Heads is made up of a number of rocky point breaks that produce steep, hollow waves at low tide and often fatter and slower waves on the high tide. The further you walk around the points the more swell you will find. From First Point the “hotdoggers playground” all the way out to Granite Bay where you’ll find the shortboarders. In between, there are a few different breaks with little cove and lower nationals (also known as “the Park”) offering a gentler wave that is more accessible for intermediates and beginners this is the place to go if you want some fun little runners. For a steep, fast and hollower wave head out to the Boiling Pot Tea Tree or Granite.
Beware of the crowds cause it can get pretty busy and look out for rocks on the inside section, they aren’t always that forgiving.
